Lightology

Brand Development, Publication Design

Lightology is one of the world’s premier lighting showrooms. While based in Chicago, their main brand presence exists online. For over six years, we have collaborated with their marketing team to evolve and expand the company's visual identity. Our goal was to create an ownable look for Lightology while maintaining flexibility to work alongside their brand partners.

From fonts and colors to layout, graphics, branded photography, and publication design, we have translated the brand across a multitude of applications—Marketing Emails, Social, Print Ads, Online Sales Banners, Sales Booklets, Sales Decks, Direct Mailers, Campaign Design, Animations, Promotional Packaging, Event Design, Digital Tools, Wayfinding, to name a few.

Lookbook Vol. 1

Lightology often relied on vendor photography, which meant its own story wasn’t being told. We worked with their team to develop new branded photography for the first time. Using a refined palette of color, texture, and shape, we directed a photoshoot capturing a curated selection of their products.

Lightology's first Lookbook was designed to launch the new photography and position the company as an aspirational brand of lighting and living. This vivid, artful representation of lighting is integral to their mission—guiding customers from inspiration to lumination.

We created a full suite of promotional materials to announce the new Lookbook, photography, and brand evolution. We extended the look & feel of the print piece to Social Animations, Emails, Print Advertisements, and Digital Sales Banners.

Lookbook Vol. 2

The next issue of the Lookbook struck a balance between aspiration and product—this time using room renderings. Our goal was to apply the same look & feel from the branded photography to the renderings and publication design.
